Ten thousand bulbs!
Just think about that for a minute. A wave of colour amongst the concrete and tarmac, defying the fag butts and crisp packets and making a rather drab corner of the city look so much better. This is what we're trying to achieve at our
Townhead garden site currently tended to by
Clairwil, Michael and Myself.
Ten thousand bulbs don't come cheap though, so we're looking for donations to help us on our way.
How can you help?
Ah, well there are many ways....... First of all, if you're feeling flush and a wee bit beneficent, you can make donations via Paypal at
this site. We will be utterly grateful for any monies received. At the other end of the scale, the very act of
visiting this 'Squidoo' website will help pay a dividend towards our funds.
Alternatively, if you live in the Glasgow area, you can always donate bulbs to us. If you plant bulbs and are likely to have anything spare, we'd happily give a home to any of the following...
Mixed Daffodils
Mixed Tulips
Snakeshead Fritillary
Snowdrops
Mixed Crocuses
Bluebells (native only please)
Grape Hyacinths
Winter Aconites
Mixed Alluims
Wood Anenome
Let me know in the comments section and we can take it from there.
Even if you just know something the rest of us don't and can let us in on where to get the most for our money, we'd be happy to hear from you. ;)
Let's brighten this place up!!
Cheers!

Hello there Ill Man, is this why you've been quiet?!
How is the Townhead site looking since last year (it's the one on the Noels HQ show isn't it?). Do the locals still contribute or was that just the lure of the lovely Gail?
It's an excellent cause though, flowers and greenery make such a difference.
Hi Cocktails! Well, it's not the reason I've been quiet, but it's definitely the reason I've got my head at least half-way out my arse.
The site looks ok, but it's sheer size means that we just don't have the money to make it shine in the way we'd like to, so it's the top end and the veg garden we've been concentrating on. It is indeed the one on Noels HQ, and you're right, when the cameras went, so did the people willing to help. Sort of disappointing, even if it was inevitable.....
Anyway, cheers for the donation. That's a hundred bulbs you know......... =D
God bless ye!
News travels fast...
The bulb challenge gets a fleeting reference in The Herald!

Let the media circus commence. This is bound to chase the corpse of Jack off the front pages.
I meant Jacko but missed the O. Jack's corpse is most welcome on the front pages.
Jack who? McConnell? Lol!
All looks good for now. I'll get my arse in gear tomorrow, felt like shit when I came in tonight, so I haven't done as much as I said I would.
The media interest should help things along very nicely.
Cocktail - It does indeed. Thankyou!
Interesting article in the Herald there.
So are you both CCA stooges then?!
Us? Stooges? Ha! =D. There has been some contact, but we don't work for them or anything....
I've sent out five begging letters today -fingers crossed.
