George Carlin

Y'know, I was going to do a 'piece' about the very recently deceased George Carlin. I got as far as two paragraphs before I realised I needed to refer to some of his videos on Youtube. Half an hour later I came back and deleted what I'd written. Instead I shall simply say a hearty 'Farewell' to an incredibly funny man. Kind of like the missing link between Billy Connolly and Bill Hicks. Here are some of his best. On Cats On Dogs On Stuff..........

Ah, he was great. Definitely a big loss for comedy.

I watched the three videos. To be honest, I did not expected them to be funny at first sight, and I did not had a hearty laugh either, but it made me think and I liked his style. And stuff.

Thanks for the information, anyway.

(PS: the Guess the Movie series is up!
You can check back and see all the three installments.
If you need any questions re: the rules, just ask me.)

Rob - I was a late starter with Carlin. Such a varied career, from suit & bow tie in the 60's to hippy jailbird in the 70's and then angry old man in the nineties.

Szelsofa - I must admit, he makes me laugh like a fool, but yes, the one about 'stuff' is brilliantly observed, even if it doesn't tickle your funny bone. I'll come over and have a look at the competition tomorrow night. I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Thank you for trying your wits at the Guess the Movie series, Ewen.
So far there are 3 parts.
I'm sure you have seen at least two of those films.
