What's the deal with these squirrels? I have lived all of my life in the Greenock without ever ever, in over 50 years, seeing a squirrel there. Then about two years ago they started to appear on the golf course, and now they're a common sight. Is this a sign of global warming or something else?
Not sure. They were introduced from North America as far as I know. Why they're spreading to new areas I have no idea. Quite timid chaps. Except the ones in Edinburgh Botanic Gardens, which are, if memory serves a tad more 'gallus'
