Relax.......And Enjoy Your Hair

Your Band Name is:

The Heterophobic Cafeteria

This is going to be my mellow country-tinged harmony group project. Keep an eye out on MySpace folks......

Anyway, I'm compiling a list of "Great American Albums" Any suggestions? It's kind of like the notion of the 'Great American Novel' but a little less tedious and more open to interpretation. Unless you nominate Hootie & The Blowfish or The Dave Matthews Band, in which case you can take a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut for all I care.

Cheers!

Springsteen, obviously, although the other half would be better placed to tell you which albums specifically. As far as more modern albums go, Lucero's "Rebels, Rogues and Sworn Brothers" and the Hold Steady's "Boys and Girls in America" were two of my favourites from last year.

And I'd argue that "Gold", although not my favourite Ryan Adams album, has that "American dream" feel about it.

Fancy a double header with The Flying Vamps?

Everything by Bob Dylan.

And that's all.

Well maybe throw in some John Lee Hooker.

I got "The Above-Average Wizards". Obviosuly my band doesn't have a hugely over-inflated sense of self-importance....

"Obviously". D'oh.

Lism - Springsteens Nebraska is in there for me. It's tough going though.... Ryan Adams is in there also, though I'm not telling what album.

Szelso Fa - Not at all, I could go onstage under that name.

Billy - Only if I get to share yr drummer and stylophone player....

Kieran - Dylans Highway 61 is a no brainer. Don't have any John Lee Hooker though.

Lorna - 'Above Average Wizards' is an above average name for an above average comedy band. Make it so!

Sandra - The Gagging Police is the sort of name I was hoping to get but it never came up. Bugger!

Alan, Bock, cheers for those. If anyone else has their own ideas, feel free to chuck them up. My own list will probably go up in a few days time.
